I’m a lifelong technology enthusiast with a particular liking for retro computers, vintage gaming, unusual gadgets and anything that feels slightly ahead of its time. Technology has always been more than just a job or a passing interest for me. I’ve always been fascinated by how things work, how they evolve, and how yesterday’s cutting-edge ideas eventually become the nostalgia of tomorrow.

By day, I work with servers, networks, virtualisation, security and complex infrastructure, building and maintaining the systems that quietly keep everything running behind the scenes. It’s a world of problem solving, troubleshooting and constant change, which probably explains why I’ve never lost my curiosity for new technology.

Away from work, my interests stretch in several directions. I’m equally happy revisiting classic computers and old games as I am exploring the latest gadgets, cameras, cars or emerging technology. I enjoy photography, motorsport, science fiction and the occasional deep dive into some obscure piece of hardware or forgotten corner of computing history. If it has buttons, flashing lights, an interesting engine, or looks like it might have fallen out of a spaceship, there’s a reasonable chance I’ll find it interesting.

Arcturian is where all of those interests collide. It’s part technology site, part nostalgia trip, part gallery and part personal archive. It gives me somewhere to share thoughts, reviews, photographs, memories and the occasional journey down a technological rabbit hole.

Ultimately, this site is about enjoying technology in all its forms, remembering the machines and games that shaped the past, exploring the gadgets and ideas of the present, and keeping one eye firmly fixed on whatever strange and interesting things might be waiting just over the horizon.
